Back and neck pain are a common report among patients with all types of EDS. Pain often does not correlate with the presence or absence of spinal deformity. Hypermobility Type was the most debilitating form with respect to musculoskeletal function. Surgical procedures to the musculoskeletal system,(shoulder, elbow, feet, knee, or ankle) to alleviate pain, instability, poor range of motion or a combination of these are commonly performed.
