Bruising Tendencies Print E-mail
Easy bruising manifests as spontaneous ecchymoses, frequently recurring in the same ares, and causing characteristic brownish discoloration. Easy bruising may be the presenting symptom in early childhood. Child abuse should be considered in the differential diagnosis. There is a tendency to prolonged bleeding in spite of normal coagulation status [Beighton, 1993; Steinmann et al., 1993].
