Please contact your Senators today to voice your support of Senator Arlen Specter's (R-PA) amendment to the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009. The amendment, which the Senate started debating today, would ensure that the National Institutes of Health receives a full $10 billion to account for recent loses due to budget cuts. The amendment will impact the NIH's ability to fund scientific research which has a direct impact on everybody's health and well being now and in the future. Research is done on Ehlers-Danlos syndrome, aging, pain, arthritis, fibromyalgia, heart disease, migraine and many other medical conditions.
