Dr. Yergler is board certified in both Orthopedic Surgery and Sports Medicine and is in practice in the South Bend Orthopaedic and Sports Medicine Group in Indiana.  He is also assistant Orthopedic Surgeon/Team Physician for the University of Notre Dame Athletics.  Dr. Yergler is also a Memorial Trauma Orthopedic Surgeon and an attending for the Sports Medicine Institute/Notre Dame Primary Care Sports Medicine Fellowship.

Dr. Yergler has extensive experience working with high school, college and professional athletic teams.  Some of the teams he has worked with include: San Diego Padres Baseball Team as well as the San Diego Gulls Professional Hockey Team, and Woman’s Professional Volleyball Team.  He was also a NASA Space Shuttle Disaster Physician. 

Dr. Yergler is extremely well published, a frequent guest lecturer in Orthopedic Medicine and an active member of the medical community.  Some of his committee work includes: Memorial Trauma Committee, Memorial OR Committee, Memorial Air Medical Transport Committee, and the Allied Physician Value Committee.
